This Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled when you use the KotDart mobile application. We are committed to protecting your privacy. Because our app operates 100% offline, your data belongs entirely to you.

1. Information Collection, Processing & Storage (Offline-First Architecture)

KotDart is engineered with a strict offline-first architecture. We do not operate external web servers, cloud databases, or remote user accounts, meaning your personal learning data never leaves your device.

However, to provide core application features, the following data types are processed and stored strictly locally:

Personal Identifiable Information (Profile Name): If you choose to input a profile name for the personalized in-app greeting, this text string is stored locally on your device. It is never transmitted to us or any third parties.
App Activity & Progress: Your completed lesson progress, bookmarked content, quiz scores, learning streaks, daily goals, personal notes, and selected avatar emojis are stored locally to keep track of your curriculum journey.

All data listed above is persisted safely on your local device storage using native SharedPreferences.

2. In-App Support & Feedback Communication

When you utilize the optional contact features within the app:

The application initiates a standard mailto: intent using your device’s native email client, pre-populating our support addresses (support.kotdart.dev@gmail.com or feedback.kotdart.dev@gmail.com).
Any email communication is entirely voluntary and is governed by your own email provider’s privacy terms. We use your email address exclusively to reply to your bug reports, support tickets, or feedback. We never sell or share your contact info.

3. Third-Party Services

Google Play Store: Interacting with the Google Play Store (e.g., leaving a review) is governed by Google’s Play Store Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
No Tracking SDKs: KotDart does not embed third-party advertising SDKs, analytic tracking networks, or cross-app identifier utilities.

4. Children’s Privacy & Data Protection Compliance

KotDart is an educational application intended for software developers and students. Since the app collects absolutely zero user data, it inherently complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), GDPR, and the Google Play Families Policy.

5. Data Deletion Rights

Because all data is stored exclusively on your local device, we have no access to your information. You have total control over your data. You can delete all your stored data, progress, and settings instantly at any time by:

Clearing the application cache/data in your Android System Settings.
Uninstalling the application from your device.
